This is a play documenting the last days of Jesus on the earth.
Glory! will be presented again around Easter 1999.
Scene 1: The Garden
A few days after Christ's ascension (Acts 1:9) into the heavens,
John the Apostle, escapes the group in the upper room (Acts
1:12-14) to visit the disciples "secret spot" (John
18:1) and pray. He is followed by his sister (a fictitious
character) Sharon, who wants to know mor of his relationship with
the Christ who had just died.
Scene 2 - The Triumphal Entry
Sunday in Jerusalem, the week of Christ's betrayal and death.
It's about one month since He raised Lazarus from the dead (John
11:1-44). As prophesied (Zech 9:9) Jesus, the King came riding
the colt of a donkey and the people shouted, "Hosanna!"
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
"Blessed is the King of Israel!" (John 12:13)

Scene 4 - The Upper Room
It is Thursday evening, the day before His death, the Passover
meal is prepared in an Upper Room, Here Jesus washes the feet of
His disciples.(Mark 13:1-17)

Scene 5: The Garden
Peter, James, Jesus, and John in the garden. Jesus is deeply
troubled. (Mat 26: 36-38)
Jesus prays alone in the garden. (Luke 22:41-44)
Judas betrays Jesus with a kiss.(Luke 22:48)
Jesus offers no resistance as He is arrested, but
Peter attacks Malchus, (John 18:10) the High Priest's servant,
cutting off his right ear, (Luke 22:49,50) and Jesus is led away
in bonds. (John 18:12)
Scene 7 - Christ Crucified.
Jesus is taunted all the way to the place of the skull (which in
Aramaic is called Golgotha). (John 1:17) There He was crucified
between two thieves.(Mat 27:38)
Christ taunted by Satan as God turned His back on
His Son. (Mark 15:34)
At 3:00 P.M. Jesus breathes His last.
"IT IS FINISHED!" (John 19:30)
Scene 9 - The Ressurection
Satan is struck down by the angel (Rev 12: 7-9).
The angel rolls away the stone from the tomb. (Mat
28:2)
The Resurrection!


Sunday Morning before light. Three days after the
crucifiction. the women go to the tomb to finish the hasty
preparation of the body for burial. Among them, Mary Magdalene,
Mary the mother of James, and Salome (Mark 16:1), Joanna, (Luke
24:10 and likely, His mother, Mary (Matt 28:1). Mary Magdalene
finds the empty tomb.(Mark 16:5)
The women encounter an angel who declares the Good
News!
"Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here.
He is risen! "
(Luke 24: 5,6)
The disciples inspect the empty tomb. (John 20:1-8)
Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene. (John 20:15)
"Woman, why are you crying?"
Rabboni!(John 20:16)
Scene 11 - The Ascension
Forty days later, Jesus and His disciples, along with those
who loved and followed Him, gathered on a hilltop in Bethany
(Luke 24:50)
Jesus bids His mother farewell.
Jesus give His disciples a final blessing.

The Ascension.
While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into
heaven. (Luke 24:51)
